Kate, The Pirates of Penzance
The Farrer Theatre, Eton

Joanna made her acting début with Windsor & Eton Operatic Society in October 2008 in one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s best-loved operettas, The Pirates of Penzance, playing the part of Kate.

The production was staged at The Farrer Theatre, Eton College.

Produced by G&S veteran Ian Henderson with Jonathan Bungard as Musical Director.

Musical Mayhem Show,
Desborough Suite, Maidenhead Town Hall

In March 2017, Joanna performed with Britain's Got Talent runner-up Kevin Cruise as part of his Musical Mayhem Comedy Show.

The show featured two comic numbers from Phantom of the Opera, with Kevin as the Phantom and Joanna as Christine, as well as a more traditional solo performance by Joanna singing Think of Me.

Celia, Iolanthe
Norden Farm

In April 2010, Joanna appeared with Windsor & Eton Operatic Society in Gilbert & Sullivan’s operetta Iolanthe at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead, playing the part of one of the two chief fairies Celia.

The cast among others featured well-known West-End actor, Bruce Graham as the Earl of Mountararat. A patriotic yet disingenuous extravaganza, produced by David Thomas with rousing music, conducted by Musical Director, Jonathan Bungard.

The Angel, The Dean of Iniquity
Cookham Festival

In May 2013, Joanna was asked to appear in a lead role as The Angel in The Dean of Iniquity, or Confessions of a Cookham Parish Constable.

The play was directed by Val Pirie for The Tarrystone Players as part of Cookham Festival.

A new comedy, written by local playwright Jonathan Yates, the play was based on the real-life diaries of a 19th Century Cookham Parish Constable, William Gibbins and set to the music of Gilbert & Sullivan, with suitably irreverent words, including such favorites as I Am The Very Model of A Cookham Parish Constable, A Wandering Villain I, A Poor Farmer’s Lot Is Not A Happy One and Joanna’s solo finale: I Have A Song To Sing O
